Welcome to my blog. I am very happy and grateful you came here. My name is Uddhav. I graduated from Engineering college with an Information Technology degree and started working with a top Bank as a Software Engineer.

I was at the top of my career. I was enjoying it very much and had no plan to leave it because of my comfort zone. I spent almost 4.9 years in my last organization, but there are some parts of life that we can’t control. I was surrounded by negativity due to which I started feeling lonely.
To come out of it, I started doing meditation. Mediation is the best thing happened to me in my entire life. It helped me to stand again. It cleared the negativity from my mind. My brain felt younger and more energetic again. It’s very true you attract people with your mindset.

Throughout this taught journey I learned so many things. I used my writing to come out of depression and started this blog to help people like me. So that they can enjoy their life to the fullest extent. This blog will help you with self-development and gain financial independence. Top 15 rules for success.

“Success doesn’t just come and find you, you have to go out and get it.”

Success means the accomplishment of a goal or purpose. For me, It is a state of having an aim achieved. This is the very basic definition of success; it may vary according to you. For me success is very simple I set up an achievable goal, do some decision-making, prepare a plan with the steps required to achieve it, and then execute that plan very effectively. I measure success in each step.

After plan execution, the output is success.

I generally follow below 15 basic rules I use to achieve my goals.

1. Become a smart worker.

Don’t spend too much time completing one task, always use shortcuts or predefined ways to get a solution. People always prefer smart workers over hard workers. If you are going to spend too much time performing one task, people are going to ask you why it is taking too much time to complete one simple task.

Bill Gate said, “I always assign difficult tasks to lazy people, they always find an easy way to do it”.

2. Don’t show off.

Some people always do show off, the new things they brought. Show off creates jealousy and jealousy gives birth to Enemy.

By doing show off knowing and unknowingly you create an enemy, not everyone takes your success positively. Always prefer to be simple.

3. Boss is always right.

This saying is very true and applicable in real-life scenarios if you are a working professional. If you are the working employee, then your boss is the person who is supervising you, who may be responsible for evaluating your work or giving you approval, or increment.

He/she determines whether he/she wants to keep you on the job or not and your goal is to keep your boss happy, that’s why your boss is always right. For a successful career, you have to say the boss is always right.

4. Don’t trust someone very easily.

If you trust someone very easily, you will be broken down very easily, that is why you should not trust someone very easily. Trust is something we have to earn, it is not found in cheap people.

Due to trusting the wrong person, people are facing deep challenges and, in some cases, even trauma. We put our faith in these cheaters or emotionally unstable individuals.

We allow them to become a part of our life, we engage them in jobs, partnerships, relationships, deals, and many more. And when they break our trust we fall down like a dried leaf. Always stay away from people who are asking you- Do you trust me? They often can’t be trusted. A trustful person never asks such a question, they don’t need your approval because from inside they know they are trustworthy.

5. Talk less.

The less you speak the more attention people pay to your words. Too much talk is a sign of immatureness. Speaking requires energy, by speaking less you save this energy and can divert it to another productive part. The problem is when you talk too much, you don’t listen. Listening is an art and you must develop it. You cannot develop it with more talk.

Understanding what the speaker is saying is like giving back something valuable in return.

6. Never share your secret with anyone.

Always keep your secret to yourself, never share it with anyone, you never know how people will use it against you. This can lead to a situation where someone else has control over you.

Sharing secrets is like making yourself a fool. People share harsh secrets with other people, and they end up making regret. To become successful never share your secret with anyone at any cost. Keep all your secrets somewhere deep inside you, so that no one knows them.

7. Be a center of attraction in front of your everyone.

Always get noticed by your superiors. If they don’t know you exist, then how they will promote you. Your superiors are going to decide whether they want to keep you for a job or not, they are only going to give you tasks through which you can prove yourself, which ultimately lands you in a better position in your company.

You can be a center of attraction with some simple techniques like taking the initiative in your job, offering solutions, engaging with other employees and your boss, and by organizing workplace events.

8. Make people come to you for choice/decision.

If you are always ready to serve people, then people will take you for granted. Make people come to you for advice, choice, and for any decisions. Don’t offer anything on your own. It is wise to lure others into your known territory. Don’t be available for everyone, people always prefer busy people for decision making.

9. Don’t isolate yourself from others.

Keep making new connections with people, and do not isolate yourself from others. Plan team outings and talk to employees from other departments, you never know how some will help you. Start a conversation if no one is talking, people always prefer these kinds of people for networking.

If you think I am only going to do my assigned task and not going to talk to anyone then people are soon going to forget that you exist. Do not keep such an attitude. Meet and talk to people in the pantry or sitting area.

10. Don’t commit to anyone unless you are sure.

This is very important, commit only if it is achievable. Some people struggle with saying no because they don’t want to disappoint someone, so they agree to things that they have no way of fulfilling. This creates very big problems like trust issues or hurting themselves.

It’s better to say no than to struggle to achieve the task. To get success always take tasks that are achievable and committable.

11. Work on your weakness.

First, you need to figure out your weaknesses. Ask yourself this question “what are my weaknesses?” only you can answer it in the correct way. After identifying weakness work on improving it.

For example, if you fear public speaking, then visit a trainer for the same. Consider the benefits of changing it. Set a specific goal to work on a weakness, having a concrete goal in place gives you something specific to work toward.

By removing your weaknesses, you work on yourself automatically.

12. Action speaks more than words.

One action is more than a thousand words. Your action defines your attitude, commitment towards your goal, and whether you are going to achieve it or not. People always prefer a person who does some actions.

13. Always prepare a complete plan.

Having a complete plan for any task or project is very much important. The plan helps you to define objectives and goals. It also helps you to define the full scope of a task or project and helps you to stay focused, meet delivery, and measure success.

It facilitates proper coordination between you and your colleagues. To get success in anything always have full fledge working plan.

14. Always follow a schedule.

After planning this is the most important rule, always follow the schedule. To stay on schedule you should give undivided attention to what you are doing, you must follow delivery, shall avoid distractions like social media and should re-verify your schedule, always check whether you are on track or not, take hard tasks first, keep some breaks between each delivery, these points will help you to follow your schedule.

15. Always speak the truth to yourself.

You can lie to everyone but not to yourself. The benefits of speaking the truth to yourself include an increase in confidence, you forget all your fear, it saves you from multiple troubles, and makes you comfortable in any situation.

A person who lies to himself cannot achieve anything. Always speak the truth because it is rewarding. Sometimes truth is bitter, but you will feel better when you speak it to yourself. You can have self-realization if you speak the truth and always remember self-realization is the first step toward success.
